Looking back on 2019, we are so thankful for another year of Genworth Virginia 10 Miler events. We have the most supportive community, city, sponsors, volunteers, and participants. 46 years of road racing in Lynchburg and wouldn't change it for anything.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Meet Gavin Cooley from Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Gavin is just 9 years old, already holds 6 world records, and finished the Virginia 10 Miler this year in just 69:50. 😱

Gavin absolutely loves to run and eagerly awaits each birthday when he gets to register for a race length that is his age + 1 mile. After much research on which 10 miler he wanted to run at age 9, he chose our 10 Miler BECAUSE he was excited about the hills. (WOW!)

When asked if he walked any of the course (not that his time would have allowed for that!), his answer: "Why would I walk?"

Congratulations, Gavin!
